We are the areas No 1 childrens football club and are always on the look out for new members and warmly welcome anyone to come along and join in the fun and fitness. This Club offers a fantastic opportunity for children of any age (5 - 18 years), both boys and girls the chance to participate in training, equal opportunity and the motivation to be part of a real team.
Everyone at this Club takes great pride in encouraging, promoting and developing junior football. With numerous superb qualified coaches and referees on hand offering advise, support & development, knowledge and expertese. Currently the Club has four facilities where the teams train, Coxhoe Leisure Centre - Kelloe Football Ground - Quarrington Hill Football Ground and Mainsforth Sports Complex.
We are delighted to report our great attitude and team spirit that 99.9% of members of this Club play League Football, as we simply don't agree with having members paying subs who can't play in our teams. This Club keeps going from strength to strength every week.

Focus Club For Girl's Football.
Bowburn Athletic FC is a County Durham Sport Focus Club for Girl's Football and is the only Club in Bowburn to have teams playing League Football. Our Club has Coaches with 5 years experience in Coaching Girl's Football, our Girl's Teams train on Monday Nights at Coxhoe Leisure Centre, Coxhoe.
Bowburn Athletic FC follows the FA's new Respect Programme.
All of our Coaches and Managers have completed the F.A's Safeguarding Children Workshop, (certificates available if needed).

Bowburn Athletic was set up by the old Committee and parents that left Bowburn Youth FC, these people wanted to provide a Football Club for the children of the 7 teams that left when they did. Many of the old Committee have put in over 5 years of hard work to get the old Club were it is today and now take their knowledge and expertese to Bowburn Athletic FC to provide a player orientated club again for the children to enjoy Football.
